The Bible is like Shrek. It's got layers.
And the deeper you go the more Jesus you find.
Joseph was betrayed by his brothers for pieces of silver. Falsely accused. Thrown into a pit. Then raised up to the right hand of the most powerful ruler in the world. He became the saviour of the very people who betrayed him.
Sound familiar?
Joseph's story was written 1800 years before Jesus was born and it was already telling His story.
We're starting a new series called Shadows and Substance — looking at people and events in the Old Testament that were pointing to Jesus centuries before He arrived.
My hope is that we see Jesus better and our faith grows as we look at familiar stories.
